A day since, I wrote a lengthy comparison of the Edirol R-09 WAVE/MP3 Recorder, Black and the Zoom H4 dexterous Recorder + 2GB Accessory Kit (pre-accessory kit). I rented a Zoom H4 from a comrade and found it enormously frustrating to mistreat. The owners physical was in a minute gibberish to me. I might not put up heads or tails of the orders. It was a completely frustrating experience and I was timely to cause up on making a recording, and timely to attempt back to making old fashioned videotape tape recordings.

I took a option on the Zoom H2 and am not miserable. All the head aches of the H4 comprise been addressed with the H2. This zombie is much easier to mistreat. I'm using it to top live run tune and it does a wonderful job. Sounds utter! I'm not an egg head nerd or a supercomputer expert nor am I a expert sound recording engineer, and I am very comfortable using this zombie.

I've had my H2 since September, and used it in a variety of expert broadcast situations, with varied star. The recorder worked well after recording from a line level or mult box feed on mic level. I loved flipping prevented the certificate and putting it into my laptop's SD slot to walk the store in quickly in place of edits.

Hoever, particular with the purpose of the recorder's construction precludes using it handheld (too much sound transmitted from handling) it is a definite downbeat with the purpose of a standard broadcast area mic like an EV 635A does not save as much as necessary show to overcome the poor mic preamp built in.
